Blood Squad’s Camp Death

Oct 19
9pm
$10
Chop Suey
When: October 19, 2011 from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Blood Squad has been performing their intricate, improvised homages to slasher movies in the Northwest since 2005.  Mainstays Brandon Felker and Elicia Wickstead remain crypt-keepers of the Blood Squad name, but by 2010 the group had lost enough of their talented members to L.A. or parenthood that it was time to hang up the butcher knives and hockey masks.

Now, by popular demand and with the help of some of Seattle’s most talented and gruesome-minded improvisers, Blood Squad returns to present “Camp Death”, an improvised summer-camp-slasher.  Fans of Sleepaway Camp and Friday the 13th will be wary of missing this evening at…Camp Death!

Chop Suey.  9pm. $10.00.  Tickets at Ticketweb.com.

Kevin Hyder

Laff Hole
Oct 5
9pm
$10
When: October 5, 2011 from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Kevin Hyder has been with the People’s Republic of Komedy from the very beginning.  Back in 2005, a group of Seattle comedians were looking to do something a little more adventurous than what was going on at the clubs.  They started Laff Hole at the CHAC Lower Level on Capitol Hill, doing sketches, characters and innovative stand-up.

Hyder has continued that tradition of hilarious, innovative comedy at Laff Hole, now at Chop Suey, for the last six years.  If you haven’t seen Laff Hole in a while, October 5th would be a great chance to check in with The People’s Republic’s current batch of exciting young comedians. Including: Adam Firestone, Tristan Devin, Edrease Peshtaz, and more.

October 5, 2011. 9pm. $10.00. Chop Suey (1325 E. Madison St.) Purchase tickets at www.ticketweb.com.
